Alethia Stollings will be facilitating a hands-on Photoshop CS3 Session for our April 8th Meeting in Building 7 of the State Capitol Complex. There are about 10-12 desktop units available that will be pre-loaded with Photoshop and the tools you need for the session. A wireless connection is available if you want to bring your own laptop. Light refreshments will be served.

Summary: The total time for the hands-on session will be about 1 hour. There will be 2 handouts and 2 examples files to open in Photoshop (1 hands-on and 1 example of a photo illustration).

As you may have heard, Adobe has announced the release of Adobe Flex 3 and Adobe AIR 1.0. Now that the cat is out of the bag, this will be the focus of our March 11, 2008 special meeting! Adobe is sponsoring this meeting with food, giveaways and a raffle copy of Adobe Flex Professional. If 50 people or more attend this meeting, we will also be able to raffle a copy of Adobe CS3!!

Flex 3 is a feature-packed release, adding new UI components like the advanced datagrid and improved CSS capabilities; powerful tooling additions like refactoring; and extensive testing tools including memory and performance profiling, plus the addition of the automated testing framework to Flex Builder.

Adobe AIR is game-changing in so many ways, delivering rich applications on the desktop, enabling access to the local file system, system tray, notifications and much more. Now you can write RIAs on the desktop using the same skills that you've been already using to create great web apps including both Flex and AJAX.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to see and hear about this highly anticipated release of Flex 3 and AIR at this meeting.

The location for this meeting is the State Capitol Complex, WV Employee Development Center (Building 7), in the Training Labs area on the 1st floor.

Our August 14th meeting will be a ColdFusion Scorpio launch party! There will be a special presentation, pizza, refreshments and special CF Scorpio schwag (t-shirts, etc). Best of all, we will be raffling a copy of CF Scorpio!!!!
